Yes I have but I was being paid at the time so that's different. Please don't tell me you were in that car Darren? If so, I hope your mate is OK.

Regular Tuesday night in Coventry isn't it?

Some kid took a pot shot at me with his air rifle when I was cycling past his house years ago, but that's as close as I've been. He missed. I sold his rifle in the local paper...probably to someone equally as unhinged!

Coventry is the 4th safest city in the UK now apparently! Not had any real trouble in my 2+ years here now....<touches wood>

Maybe they meant "warzone" not "city"

BTW Darren, that's shocking - hope everyone is making a recovery from it :)

ye, but if you take your car with you, any bullets wont be able to catch you, and on the off chance that there are some bullets quick enough, surely your shields will protect you, or if not you could fire up the old flux capacitor and go back in time, so you'll be sound m8

:rolleyes2:

I have !

I was servicing a Lynx in Bosnia one dark night. The Serbs were on one side of the valley, the Bosniaks on the other, we were in the middle. It was quite normal for them to shoot at each other over the top of our positions, I guess you get used to it. There I was, on top of the Lynx engine, filling oil up, using only a head torch. Was well wrapped up, ie: arctic deputy dog hat on with the ear muffs covering my ears (was about -20), so I didn't notice the rounds getting louder. First thing I knew was when my mate Paul (the lad with the Capri who came to the resto show 2005) grabbed me by the ankle and shouted for me to "get the **** down" or some other words like that. We lay down in the snow for about ten minutes (i had the presence of mind to turn the torch off) watching these tracer rounds (quite pretty in their own way) flying over our heads, before we decided we would be better off crawling away and getting behind a building.

It was pretty exciting.

So was your mate okay then Darren?

Yanks - bless 'em, you have to admire their judicial system and the right to bear arms. Here, they'd get an ASBO and some community service.

Thought Coventry was a decent enough place. Come over to Edmonton in North London, 10 minutes from Tottenham. Most of the Turkish and Albanian mafia are here too. Only another 3 1/2 years to go before we move :(

I don't think the Americans are quite ready for your car. They seem reasobaly astounded at how nice standard sprints are without even considering what yours will do in addition. Best of luck anyway, everyone seems to be abandoning good old England. I'll be gone just as soon as the feds let me, my Sister is moving to Perth, an Aunt has moved to France.
