so we can't see what each other is bidding on.....(I know that may be a plus)

and we will never know if glebe or terryman win anything or are the high bidders

:( :( :(

Do you mean the bidders list or have I missed something :)

I can still see the current bidders/history on my auctions :?

I can't maybe you are more special than me lewis. I can only see high bidder, then in the history bidder one, bidder two, bidder three and my own id!

Nope, you're right - just looked at the bidder history again - indeed, just says "Bidder one, two, three..."

What a gaff! Such a shame :(

As online shopping evolves, eBay continues to focus on preserving our marketplace's open and level playingfield whilst protecting our Community of members. We have decided to change how bid history information is displayed so unscrupulous people cannot target bidders with fake offers using this information. In certain cases, some bidders will no longer be able to see other bidder's User IDs on the listing page. Your User ID will be shown only to you and the seller of the item you're bidding on. Other members will see an anonymous name, such as Bidder 1, Bidder 2 etc.

I wont be bidding that high against someone I cant check..
Could even be the seller's friend bidding.
EBAY SORRY YOU SCREWED UP THIS TIME.

Odd, I've just looked at a few things and can see the identity of the current high bidder

ooops sorry i just started athread on ebay section about this without looking here first.
you can chose if you want the bidders shown when you make a listing.

edit.. the highest bidder will show till the bid reaches £100 , ther is more info on the eby home page. and you can click on the bidder to see what they have been doing in bayland in the past 30 days.

Well I won't be bidding on anything where the bidders id is restricted. Hopefully ebay will see the pattern and withdraw it.
