For some odd reason my pc didn't download all the replies that you've had (it does that sometimes, only half the job!!) so there was me thinking i had an original useful idea to try and everyone else had suggested something similar!! Sorry about duplicating their answers , hopefully my pc will behave itself next time!!

Going back the the subject of road testing how about entering the Round Britain Run? (if you can get on the list) It would be the ideal opportunity to test the car. There hasn't been a 1500fwd entered for a couple of decades...
