800's more than I pay on my V8 Sprint! Then again, it isn't FC (only TPFT). Will be FC this September though, much more reasonable to do it then.

Norwich Union Direct were always very competitive for me on my standard ones :)

Lancaster are very good about the mods to my car, it's probably worth ringing them.

that was 800 tpft lewis, ridiculous money. Problem is i had a write off at 20, the insurance policy didnt die with the car and carried through till the renewal, so i lost my ncb. Renewal was june last year, then due to problems with my 306 i changed policies so subsequently dont have any ncb at the mo :cry: lancaster want about 420 with the mods,

Snowdrop is my daily driver at the moment and she's never let me down totally. They're easy to fix and servicing is an absolute doddle.

On the subject of insurance why not try Footman James? My renewal was £294 (fully comp) and that was for Snowdrop and Becky (my Acclaim) with unlimited mileage. Not bad considering I'd had an accident last October when I was using my mate's Renault Laguna with fault claims against me on the policy.

Thanks for that toledo man, ill give FJ a try tho their website seems to suggest they dont insure anyone under 25 ? - which could be awkward as im 22 !

Oooh, another 22 year old! My housemate wanted to add me to the insurance on her Spitfire (insured with Footman James) so that I could look after it while she was away, they wanted a stupid amount of money :( I'd recommend talking to Lancaster, they were by far the cheapest I found for my 1850.

join the dolly club and use the club approved insurance sceme advetised in dolly mixture, my moden car and my triumph was cheaper to insure using them saving me over £150.
well worth the joining fee.

Will,

In my experience classic insurance companies tend to view "classic car enthusiasts" as a much better risk no matter what your age. Although that obviously plays a big part in your premiums along with postcode. It's also good if you're a club member.

I'm with Richardson Hosken for my 1980 Sprint and as I didn't know how much I would use it after I bought it last year I'm only covered for 3,000 miles full comp. My ANNUAL premium is £97.64 in total. I realise I'm 12 years older than you but it's a Sprint and isn't garaged.

Lancaster & Sureterm Direct both quoted me roughly £30 more than RH but in the end it's your decision.
