No headrests in the TC...
Late 1500TC ones do come
with headrests.
Phil's are original:
I have a pair of Chestnut front with headrests that are free to collect since I've put the original seats back into my Dolomite. They're worse than pointless though since, even at full extension, the "head" rest comes to the neck at most and not behind the head at all, rather it would if it were far enough forward. If your neck is flung back and hits that, it'll act as a fulcrum and your head would probably come off or something.
The downside to the head rests that fit over the seat back is that, in the event of a collision, the fixing clips can tear your lungs out as they bend forwards and the ends of the front ones puncture your back. This is why they were taken off sale initially, and with no help from Esther as it was MIRA or similar where the dummy tests were done.
I sold a pair to a guy who drove all the Way up from Carlisle to fetch them, then discovered that they're even more sought after nowadays. But they
could kill you in a situation where normally, you'd escape with a bit of whiplash.
