What is the best way to do this? I can get it off , but not with out damaging the trim and/or the body work.

Also doe anyone have any tips for putting it back on?

very carefully with a small screwdriver lever it off the clips, some may break but they are ony a few quid to replace.

I used a polyfiller spatula - nice and thin!

The tricky one is the roof guttering trim. Not sure how you get that off.

Would you mind expanding on that Martin, I need to take my roof trim off to get at some rust spots? :)

Gutter trim? Bolster chisel, and a lump hammer.
Hold the chisel vertically, lay the edge against the inner edge of the trim, and then smack it sideways (if you understand what I mean) with the lump hammer.

Strat at the bottom of ther A pillar, and work back along the car.

Use a rubber mallet to re-fit

What I do is start at the front end at the bottom of the 'A' pillar gently tapping the edge of the trim, the edge nearest the door, and gradually follow it along as it comes away. Be careful when you get towards the end as most of the trim is now flapping about and can easily kink.

I remove gutter trim using a beer bottle opener and prise it carefully using a rag so the opener doesn't scratch or dent the trim.
