 Post subject: Pics of our new Dolly
PostPosted: Sat May 21, 2011 9:56 pm
Have finally uploaded some pics of our purchase, had it for about a month now but just spent some time today cleaning it up.

Paintwork is a great shade of yellow (number 94), and I've attached a shot of the worst area of the bodywork, which is just a small rust breakthrough on one of the doors. There are a few small spots that have been touched up here and there, unfortunately in a different shade of yellow, but that's just a bit annoying more than anything else. All ziebarted from new and underside and engine bay are spotless (well almost) as is the interior.

Had the tyres checked out locally as whilst they appeared in great condition, they looked old, and it turns out they date back to the 80's. Ok for a few short trips to the shops, but I'll replace them once I've decided whether to replace the wheels with some that look nicer. (Suggestions welcome here as I'm no expert but have seen some nice looking ones on pics on this forum!).

Jobs for me to do;
Cigarette lighter for phone charger- done today
Buy and fit radio- source radio that matches car next week
Wheels- no idea but any suggestions welcome

Must take it for a spin tomorrow!

Welcome to dolly ownership, i personally would not drive on tyres that old as they are at least 22yrs old if there from the 80's ( even allowing for them being on the shelf for say 5yrs that's still 17yrs old on a car ).
