 Post subject: oil filter

hi all after changing the water pump on my tr7 engine i now need to change the oil and filter what are the best brand of filters and oil also what on the benefits of the spin on filter apart from easier to change thanxs andy :D

The spin-on adapter will give you access to a wider range of filters. If you're sticking with the paper element then just renew it every 4k or so with the oil, I think the part number is GFE147. If you go spin-on then I know K&N make a good one but I just use a standard Motaquip VFL thingy - can't remember the exact number. As for the oil any good 20w50 is fine, I recommend Valvoline VR1 Racing.
