The previous previous previous owner did a bit in her.
He also wrote an article for the TDC magazine in 1995 if anyone remembers?

The car is currently at the welders awaiting surgery. Then home for the Mot bits.Has wiring issues (wipers, fuses blowing)at the moment as well as a gear selecting issue(sometimes wont go into the gate from second to third and vice versa). Will get it back sometime in january hopefully when she will have an mot, then i will be able to apply for a log book.Ive had a previous 2 door tolly rally car with ford xflow/box/sprint running gear(with a slipper!!)Sadly i think she is in a graveyard somewhere. The only pic i have of that one is off her old rac log book.

Yes welcome.

Car looks fine, all set for the road next year then?

Interesting the Dolly Mixture article, Graham Stretch (who is mentioned) still remains the Toledo Registers Technical bod, he certainly does know his onions.

Any questions on your latest purchase then please feel free to ask.

:)

Absolutely delighted to see that this car is still around! I remember it well: it was pictured several times in Toledo 2-4 in the mid-nineties. It sticks in the mind as it had a lowered stance and those distinctive MAG alloys, the same as those fitted to the Janspeed car.

Hope you enjoy the ownership experience second time round. Great to have the car back in the fold! :D

Thanks all.I will have to join the toledo register.I think that means joining the club?cant find it at the moment. When i get it back i will have to keep my eyes out for a few spares,a wiper motor being one.Is there a better mod?Does anyone remember the other car reg number was aao240a? I remember the front inner wing/strut mounts being zag welded everywhere, not patched but strengthened.Anyone know of a better mod for the airvent as now its no longer useable because of the cage?Maybe a re drilled dash?

Welcome to the forum.

Don't forget to start a thread with the progress on your car and as always please don't hesitate to pick our collective brains. Sometimes, we instinctively know the answer but a second opinion is worth seeking to be proved right.

The club covers all the Dolomite related cars so there's no separate registers (any more) as such. The TDC was created when the separate registers joined forces which makes sense when you think about it.

I snapped that car at a show here in Ireland back in 2009. Good to see it's gone to a good home.

The separate registers are still very much alive. The TDC is an umbrella organisation for the registers and was not the result of a takeover but united we are stronger...

I didn't realise that. I thought we were all one club now. Is there still a DSR within the club?

:D Yes there is (although it is referred to as D&SR).
Danny Vernon is the registrar. The contact details relating to the different registers is contained on page 3 of each Dolly Mixture.
