Did you have a 1970's filter on the camera? They look very 'period'.

Just returned from a 3.5 hour round trip to pick up the rest of the bounty that came with the car............everything from bumpers ,wiper blades, trims, dashboard, dials, wires, cables, sparkplus, clutchkits, brakepads, carburettors, headlamps, lightbulbs, filters, seat kits, brakelights, waterbottles, fanbelts, indicators.......and a swiss army knife..........in other words stuff = result.

New battery and fresh juice got the car started, loosened the seized wheels, electrics work and clutch is buggered.

Was eager last week and ordered a load of bits which i am now in possession of from above hoard so will be returning or exchanging. Will be put in for mot soon.

I love the Photo's, as mentioned above, they look so period.

Like a time-warp back to the 70's.

The fine men at Kibbys have been showing some love. My excitement at all the spares was a wee bit premature as brake cylinders were not right type, nor the clutch kit, nor the carb. However, plenty of other bits to be used or sold on.....fog lights, bumper, badges, dash, hubs. pads etc....etc

New clutch master and slave ordered to be fitted this week aswell as replacement ball joints. ....Although the old ones look pretty new the rubbers have perished from where its been standing around doing nothing...........Radiator may have a small leak but replacement came with the car......fingers crossed it fits.
.......Was shown the underneath and doesnt look too bad.....bit of plating here and there but all in all a good unmolested motor, new brake pipes might be required but will wait to see what mot throws up....thats it so far........

Are wet footwells a sign of leaking window seals??
Havent driven for a week n its a bit wet.....iam assuming this is why floor bungs lefy out. Is there a remedy? Or just biy a cover?/

After 7 years relaxing in a garage the car is back on the road all taxed and MOT'd.

Been pootling around doing small journeys as the engines been running lumpy
This seems to be lessening as time goes on and will look at getting the timing sorted in next few weeks.

Had my first classic motoring experience after a 10 mile journey and the fan belt gave up the ghost. luckily for me its been a siberian summer.
Any suggestions if this happens again? Does every dolomite owner carry a spare?

Alll sorted now and looking forward to getting some use out of the ol bean
