A decent 20/50 mineral oil.

It's a 1500 not a racer! Any half decent 20w50 will be fine. Just avoid the cheap crap from the supermarket.

Yes its a 1500, which means the best oil you can get is what you put in it to help preserve the poor old crankshaft!

At work we use penrite classic oil, and since yours is a standard engine 20w-50 is the type you want :)
