Ha! That bloke paid a handsome sum for a truly knackered 1850 and immediately put loads of parts on the 'bay at silly prices. I contacted him to tell him what he'd found in the boot wasn't necessarily related to the car, to which I received a terse reply telling me how long he'd been in the business and he knew what was what!

So what he is selling is HALF a 4 branch manifold!

That won't actually fit the car even if it fits the head!

And the rest of the car looks to have been salvaged from a tidal estuary!

Unless it had a mint interior or something else similar to recommend it, I would have walked away from that at £20!

If he knows what he is doing, then he is the living embodiment of that old proverb "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"!
