By my books, it's original home was a very late 1850. 120mph in 20mph increments makes it late and slant but not Sprint as that's a 140mph job. 6.5k redline makes it a slant too as OHV cars are redlined at 6k.

Just in CASE anyone was tempted! Some folk have more money than sense!

Steve

I've got even less money than sense, the c̶a̶r̶ ̶w̶r̶e̶c̶k̶ lovely little project 1850 came with this in the boot, which means I need to get into the dashboard alchemy game at some point. I may be asking for help on this myself but £280 is an 'interesting' price point they have chosen to pitch at.

It's gets better. The guy just brought them off me via eBay with a different user name. For 40 quid. Which I thought was a fair price for them. I then lost money on postage because he is in bloody Scotland!! Not a bad mark up 200 notes!! I cleaned the bloody things to death as well. He best not get any bids!!

They come with period rust and wear/tear scratches. Quite how he knows they are in perfect working order is a mystery. Listed separately are a temperature and a fuel gauge, £15 each.

No way has he tested them. I didn't. Reckon the Speedo doesn't work either stopped on 79999 and trip was on zero. It might do but I seem to remember lots of BL Speedo getting to a figure and thinking to themselves they've had enough!! Lol

Seriously?! I would say £40 is far more nearer the mark, I sincerely hope that some poor ill-informed person who is not a forum member does not buy it. And not just because the next person goes on ebay, wonders how much they sell for, looks at completed items and before you know it we have a parts market spiraling out of control that freezes out all those without fat bank accounts from owning a Dolomite (shaped vehicle).

My Sprint speedo thinks it's sole purpose is to do no more than indicate forward movement to some greater or lesser degree... :)
