If only there was some decent metal to actually weld it to something :shock: , Updated post, when looking on my mobile phone the top of the panel looked like it had lots of small holes from rust :oops: , on my pc monitor I can see its just surface rust, nothing a bit of sand blasting wont get rid of :D :D

The sad reality is someone will probably buy that and weld up the holes to fit it to a late car!

why did they do a way with the holes,and what year car were the early ones fitted to,mines a 74 M reg and mine doesn't have the holes,mine you was thinking about fitting some :D

I'm led to believe the body numbers ending in "WB" have holes in the front panel and the later "WD" body numbers don't. The change being March 1976, with Sprint chassis number series starting with VA20000.

Well someone has a bargain...despite the trip to back of beyond to collect it!

Relisted shortly by the new owner having prepped and primed it?
