Hi

Well it's with a heavy heart that I am selling Mable my beloved 1500TC in Maple Brown.

View Topic viewtopic.php?f=19&t=13940

She has been sorn since last October but still starts and drives (she has been started and moved regularly since layup). I have fitted a brand new battery today and I am hoping to have her mot'd in the next week or so. She is a little smokey (guides) and could do with a respray but apart from that she is sweet. All welding was done when I restored her, and from what I can see she doesn't need any more. She has been well under sealed including inside the sills etc.

She is no show winner but has given me some great times.

She will not be sold to banger racers or breakers as she is too good for that.

Not sure what to ask for her so offers please. Will upload some new pics over the weekend.

Darren

It is such a shame that you have to sell. I presume you've tried all possible avenues to avoid this. I hope you find a good home for it.

I've bought another Triumph, so have three now but short on space and time. My Vitesse hasn't been touched for a year and need funds to complete it. Not 100% sure on what will happen, I have a price in mind but not sure if that would be to high.

She will not be going on the likes of ebay as I only want a Triumph enthusiast to have her or somebody new coming onto the scene. There's no rush in selling her.

Your's was one of the most enjoyable and best restorations to have been featured on this forum Darren.

Hope the sale goes well and that you enjoy the Spitfire.

Thank you for your kind words Ian, but it was this forum and the great people on it that gave me the confidence to undertake some mega welding etc. And to think that I had never welded before this....

All the best

Darren

Too many second thoughts Russell, the drive to the MOT Station and back had me smiling from ear to ear like the first time I took her after all the work was done.

I've now sent the V5 off to DVLA as the post office wouldn't change taxation class to Historic. Once taxed she will be getting used more, no urgency in selling

Waiting to hear from Terry who came to see her on Sunday. He was going to read the resto thread.

Many thanks

Darren
