Sprint Lenght

#1 Post by SprintV8 »

What's the spring length of the Standard Sprint spring's front and rear.
Unfitted off the car.
Mine's miles away so can not measure it up.
And can you fit 2 1/4 Spring's to Spax Shock's with the adjustable platform.

Had a rummage in the various stock piles and came up with:

New Standard front: 14" x 4 1/4" (one orange stripe, one white)
New Standard rear: 11 1/4" x 3 5/8" (one orange stripe)
New Rimmers TKC768HD: 13" x 4 1/4" (No stripes, sold as 175 lb lowered by 1"

Forgot to count the coils, needed?

That's more than enought info thank's.

Just with the AJP8 the Sprint is sitting some 4 inche's higher at the front than with the Stag engine.
Just sorting out some new spring's.

I just happened to measure some old standard ones a couple of months ago.

Front

Sprung = 10"
Unsprung = 14"

ID = 3 3/8"
OD = 4¼"

Rear

Sprung = 10"
Unsprung = 11½"

ID = 2 3/4"
OD = 3½"
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.
