Could be Steve, from the window line upwards at least. Good luck with yours though, looks like a lot of welding ahead. I will follow your resto closely.

Right, I think I'm about finished, subject to Jon having a quick look over it before it goes off to the body shop.

Removed the servo, door handles & locks. Made some holes a bit larger.

Not sure if I'm going to do any more to it tomorrow, I'll see what I feel like.

Jon the sprayer will hopefully be picking it up early next week. :D

Strewth, I thought the topic was still centred around Mary for a moment there!

Can I sell this early shell to someone else now then?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

After stripping the engine down on Saturday I made a start on rebuilding the head this evening.

Lapped all the valves in...

Valves all cleaned up...

New valve springs! :-k As you can see the new springs (right) are a couple of mil longer than the old ones, no surprise there. Then as I went to fit the first one & orient it the right way up I noticed there wasn't a right way up. ie. it doesn't have the closer coils at one end. These springs were given me a few years ago and on the box they are labelled for a Sprint & Stag. Question is, should they be ok to use?
