Sweet. Did you have the flywheel refaced? Did you change the crank rear seal and if so did it have the right spring tension on the new one.

Sorry to ask this after the fact....there are some duff crank seals about so I bought a few NOS ones.....you can reuse the spring from the old one if the new one is dubious.

Jonners
Although the flywheel looks rough in the picture, the face was actually pretty smooth, certainly not bad enough to cause me any concern.

The rear main seal failure was the main reason for taking the engine out, all the other jobs were a sort of spin-off from that necessity! And yes I WAS aware of the duff seals floating about and chose the Robsport supplied one of the 3 Mahesh brought with him, precisely because it had the best spring tension!

I could hinge it the other way, but I'm putting in a iPhone as sat nav,
and should the camera be able to peer through the grille slots, I may let if
function as a dashcam, will test on the spare grille before cutting out the backing.

Note! No intact grilles were harmed in the making of this thingy !

I've had a similar thought for a Bond style sat nav and status panel! I was going to make it look a bit 70's though, something a bit like the Aston Martin Lagonda's dash, just for lol's.

The powered quarter light windows are next, I have to come up to you and collect a spare
window frame (not to mention finish the prop and return to Alun).

I think a large servo will do the job, it can be programmed with start/stop points
which will reduce a lot of switches and wiring.

Already have the couplings and connectors ready.

Have to try

As the glovevox was already out, I might as well fit a light in,

Careful - this might lead people to think that glovebox lights were an original fitting and that theirs are missing!

I think that the glove box lid steady bar tends to poke through that hole.

Indeed, the steady bar sliding thingy does poke into the hole,
but only by a couple of mm.

The light I've used is a cob led panel mounted onto the glovebox as opposed to from inside.

It just clears, or just touches :?:
