Unfortunately leaking, and left me stranded in Epping where there is no mobile phone signal.

First time in over 28 years of ownership, my Sprint had to be (AA) towed back.

I have heard that the viscous coupling fans on the Sprint are prone to failure. I've never had a problem on my Spitfires but I think they may be slightly different.

That's one heck of a radiator, it may be an idea to fit an electric fan.

I've had exactly the same happen to me with my Sprint. Fortunately, I was pulling out of a junction at the time and I wasn't far from home so I limped back and the radiator only suffered a few crushed fins. A secondhand replacement fan assembly had me up and running again.

Well you were lucky...

I had this happen under hard acceleration. It not only took out the rad but also cut through a hose and the fan blades left 3 or 4 dents in the bonnet. :buckets:

But seriously, bad luck Mahesh.

TJ kit fitted in by Steve (Carledo) on Wednesday, looks like the old (ish)
calipers with pads and discs will be up for sale soon.

And I thought that I would have a good test of the car yesterday with the TJ kit fitted.

Unfortunatley, my Lumenition Magnetonic module just died, 6 miles from my home, luckily
after I exited Blackwall Tunnell.

It was around 5.45am, the usual, dark, cold, drizzly weather was present for a breakdown.

Luckily I still had the old dizzy base plate and contact set/condensor in the car, which got the
car started, rough but running.

Almost aborted going to Stoneleigh, but the final adjustment got the car running at 70mph max,
arrived at Stoneleigh 8.45am, result :D

Have to push to get the 123 Dizzy in now, the car is not as smooth on points anymore.

However !, I'ts amazing how Triumph Dolomite Sprint the car feels when you go back to points,
hard to explain, it just feels different in a better way.

Be interested how you get on with a 123 as I'd like to fit one once I'm up and running. I'll start off on points but ultimately I know the car will be better on the 123. I did speak to the other Dutch company CSI who are a supplier of ours and they can do something similar but haven't got anywhere with that yet.

I'm just checking the age at the moment.
Not easy with buying bits from so many places.

The MS4 coil was bought in Oct 2016 and the Magnetronic
just after., hopefully just within warranty.

Only done 1400 ish miles or so.
