Hi Guys,

As per the title, does anyone happen to have a 1500 radiator in good condition?

Kind regards, Luke Mason

FWD or RWD?

I have a FWD one, usable and watertight when removed earlier this year.

I am after a RWD unfortunately. Do you know how they differ?

Kind regards, Luke Mason

The FWD has a secondary top rad hose like the Sprint and 1850, coupled with a unique stat housing on the engine which incorporates the radiator pressure cap. The RWD rad, much the same size and shape, has only 2 hosenecks and a plug filler.

That’s good to know thanks Steve. I think I’ll have to bite the bullet and get a rimmers one.

It’s been along time since having a rad recored but I’m pretty sure it was around £50 for the last one. Now I have spoken to a few recorers and it’s £250+

I'm not sure how recently or the exact price, but a rad specialist near Alun (xvivalve) in the west mids was doing recored Sprint rads for considerably less than that!

From memory, the last Sprint one they did for me was £165, but it was a couple of years ago
