A lot has been mentioned of the 3 LHD Butch Sponsored Sprints that competed in the 24HR SPA Francorchamps. But does anyone have any history on the only RHD Sprint that competed and was driven in the race by Andy Rouse and Tony Dron. (It also competed in the 74 Avon Rally Tour of Britain). OVC 304M (The car is mentioned briefly in Graham Robson Book The Works Triumphs in Detail) and the registration has long since disappeared from DVLA. Having spoken to Tim and Ken Clarke recently at the Goodwood Members Meeting, Tim Clarke has a strong suspicion that his current Historic racer may in fact be the same car. I believe Ken Clarke purchased the car in the very early nineties but all body tags/chassis numbers were unfortunately missing, which makes identification very difficult. Tim has photographed some of the cars odd features during the years and has had Andy Rouse even confirm that these features were present on OVC 304M during the period he drove it. If anyone can help with any information/history with OVC 304M, or add anything to what may have happened to it prior to the Clarke's ownership this information could be invaluable in identifying what could appear to be a previous believed lost works supported car.

OVC 304M has been identified and has been hiding in plain site for many years, thanks to Coventry archives the history file for this car has been confirmed. Heritage Certificate is in bound.

If you actually read my first post, it will tell you where the car is.
