Treated myself to a Jigsaw Racing ST style downpipe, looks nice, has larger primaries, I checked out the RB one they told me only the secondary was larger, here's a couple of pics compare to a standard down pipe:-

Engine mounts on
Replacement door cappings fitted, thanks Mikey B (Northern Classics)
Got the wheels back from the shotblasters, I am going to polish the rims & paint the spokes, alloy seems to polish up ok
Stripped the carbs off the manifold, I am taking them to Eurocarb next week to be refurbed
Read a thread about solid state voltage stabilizer (thanks straylight) so got myself down to Maplins to get a LM317T, pretty straight forward, this combination of resistors is giving me an output of 10.3v.
That's it for today

hI Tony I know I have asked before about your wheels and I remember you saying they are 15 inch but have they got any numbers on the back of the wheel eg offset, et number? Just want to gather as much info before I order my wheels thanks lee
Nothing stamped on them, but I have worked the offset out from the measurements on page 14 that I took of the wheels and it is about 22mm, I think the sprint wheel has an offset of 35mm which explains why these wheels rub the arches?
I reckon I can add another 3mm to take the offset to 25mm but that is about it, so just be careful when ordering your new wheels as I think only certain styles can be machined to 35mm, so you may need to take the inner lip of the rear arch like I have.
good work with the voltage stabiliser ! Great work on the car all round Tony, nice to see it progressing and to see the awesome help/pieces from all of the forum members.
Cheers Stu, as I have said before this forum/club has provided many ideas & solutions for my car, hopefully my thread is giving others some ideas too! I try to post as many pictures as I can to help explain, plus everyone loves seeing pictures.
I am choosing to fit the gearbox from underneath, which I know is difficult, but I have done it before, I was just really paranoid about bashing the front panel with the box attached

Just picked up the carbs & manifold from Eurocarb, they have been stripped, ultrasonically cleaned & vapour blasted. Then rebuilt with new bearings & original Dellorto gaskets & diaphrams, floats reset, they look pretty much like new, very pleased with the service.
Just need to fit them now.

Cheers Alan, I just use a little Samsung compact, think it was £60 from Argos, the Macro is pretty good for close ups, plus it has wifi so it is easy to upload to Photobucket, makes posting easy.
Radiator (Saab 9-3) & alternator fitted
Had to open up the inlet manifold gasket to match the ports.
Manifold fitted.
Also finished fitting the fuel pipe from the tank to the pump in 8mm copper pipe.

Cleaned the gearbox up today and fitted the extra switch for overdrive on 2nd gear.
Made a bracket and fitted a Volvo 850 expansion tank and did a bit of plumbing, couldn't resist red hoses.
Also fitted the filler neck.
