By top half what do you mean? That could be interpreted as basically from the stripe up, too much imo. Or do you mean including the narrow vertical face the chrome is normally on? Or perhaps no green (apart from the stripe) below glass.

Whatever, I can't decide.
Yes, the bit that the chrome strip usually sits on, upwards.

I think it would benefit most from something to break up the white further down. Sprints should all have black cills to carry on round from the splitter in my book. How about the splitter and cills in green with that gold pinstripe, or maybe another stripe of green down at the door swage line? Just my thoughts. I love the stripe with the graphics though! Great stuff as usual Mart. Can't wait to see the vids of it blasting round a track again.

Tom.

Jon turned up with the track Sprint just now, so it is what it is. No more pics yet but hope to get going on it at the weekend. :D

I like it, it's a bit different (well actually it's unique) and that's what I wanted. A change from what I usually do with my restos.

I took the seats out this evening, cleaned the floor & started painting it black. I may still have some more lettering to put on once it's back on the road. :-#

Mart.

Wonderful stuff. Love the colour split, and yes I voted for keeping the sides cream.

Whenever I view the forum, your restos are the first thing I check. Give me the much needed impetus to get mine finished, not to mention the few items you have helped me out with.

Had Jo's Stag MOTd last week and a chap had a Ford Prefect in for repair. You can guess the colour - Dark green top half, cream bottom.

Look forward to your next pix.

Thanks Andrew. :D

The last couple of evenings I painted the floor black.

A couple of pics of the engine bay, before I cleaned it up...

I forgot to take any after I cleaned it... doh!

So then I put the gearbox in situ ready to mate with the engine. I lowered the engine into the engine bay, jacked up the gearbox to line up with the engine, then pushed the engine into place. With great amazement it slotted home first time without any jiggling. Now you don't see that very often, do you?

I've also fitted the servo and the EWP. One thing I did years ago was to cut down the two top servo studs. These can be awkward to get to and it used to take forever to get the nuts off & on.

...and finally just a couple of shots from either side...

I think you should call it "the flying pacer" after those 1970's green-and-white mint chews  (Anyone remember them, or am I the only one? :woohoo: )
