Thanks for the kind words Malc. Defo want the black coachlines & probably a nose badge as well. Not sure when I shall be ordering them but hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

I know I'm new to all things Dolomite guys but I know what I like.

Hats off to you Mart, she's a beauty. :clapping: You've done a hell of a job.

Are you far away from Falkirk?

Mart, if you do want anything off Alun, I can bring stuff back from Stoneleigh. It'll give me a chance to see how to rebuild a Sprint properly... :D

Alun: I'm OK for trim, I just worded that a bit ambiguously.

Sprintjock: I'm only just down the road from you in Weston-s-Mare!

Dave: I don't think I need anything at the mo but thanks for the offer. You're welcome to come down anytime (as is anyone else).

Lewis: Thanks again, it is very satisfying to get it back to it's former glory.

Graeme - no updates I'm afraid. Not done anything on SFB for a month now. I have now got a very good condition Sprint nose badge off ebay for less than a tenner including postage. :D I still just need to get some trim clips & the stripes and put the front grilles & headlight surrounds on. Unfortunately our company is about to close so I shall be out of a job in 3 weeks so I'm not spending any more money on SFB until I have another job.

Well, fully legal as from yesterday, and eaten into my 3000 miles by 170 :P . Only problem i've encountered so far was drivers side front brake sticking on. So had to strip caliper and take out one of the pistons and replace with a spare.

Parked outside a few pubs yesterday and had a few people take photo's  .

Stripe to go on one night this week.

Mart, i've had one of the brother in laws mates down who has taken a rubbing of an original stripe where it tapers down at the front. It will obviously be as an original. I've got him to make me a few sets for the full car. So if you want one let me know. Also making some gold ones for "Albert"

Sorry to hear your news Mart, been there a few times in recent years - and really don't want to go there again - so I can appreciate your situation. Will keep my fingers crossed that you get some positive news soon.

Congratulations Lee, can't wait to see the pics :-)

I had the same problem with the driver's side caliper on mine last year - and it looks like the passenger one is going to be the same this year :-( but it should be back on the road next weekend *crosses fingers*

After getting Frenchy the track Sprint running today I decided to put the silver strip around the windscreen of SFB. Not a nice job, and my thumbs were numb, now they're sore. I only managed the front one.

Like a bradawl but with a square loop instead of a spike...
Regularly on the bay for a tenner or so...

I may invest in one of those, got to be worth a tenner rather than have sore thumbs. :D

I've got a bit further forward. Washer jets, chassis plate & headlight adjuster installed, courtesy of Alun. Bought some number plates & a battery. I think all I need now is the windscreen wiper blades & that's it ready for an MOT test. Planning to get it on the road 1st August.

I think this is the first Sprint I've owned that the indicators work at a constant speed even with the headlights on main beam & the engine not running. :D

I have some cash waiting

Once you have had some fun with it!

Although these days with pending unemployment, not perhaps as much as I had before (I tell you I am looking forward to that time off)
