Yes, mine came with 2 x 6.5in Kenwood speakers either side of the centre of the parcel shelf. No metal cutting has been done. They have quite small magnets underneath though, so probably "cheapies". They seem to work O.K. though.

It's always baffled me why Triumph put that bracket right across what is obviously intended to be a speaker aperture!

Not in mine!

The widest gap in mine is about 4 inches I think

I recently bought some Infinity Reference 6.5 and they don't have prayer. The magnets would fit but that's about it.

I suppose it depends on the speaker, but the ones I chose don't.

The following photos should show what I have done. The shelf is still very strong without the areas I have removed and the replacement one adds to the strength now it is bolted down. The final version will be covered with black acoustic cloth and will hopefully be pretty stealthy.

It is still a work in progress, but I hooked it up last night and it sounds really good. Next job is to stop the boot lid skin rattling on the strengtheners!
