Perhaps contact them to see if they would courier/post it? Be worth their while to get something for it rather that chuck it in a skip.

Options do exist for such a scenario,
you can arrange for a courier to uplift and deliver, there is a huge number of shops
across the country that act as collection/drop off points…

Something that has worked on here is having a fellow TDC member collect and then
folk making journeys in your direction transport said item….
