Thought I would share some progress with these.
The engine mounts are OEM jag . Bolt straght to the existing holes in the 1850 subframe. Engine end, I used (I think) TR7 brackets that bolt to the enhine, ouugh a flat 6mm plate would work just as well. I then found some 4mm thick angle iron, drilled to fit onto the jag mounts and bolted them on. Finally made a card template, and used that to cut a bit of rectangular box section. Tacked together in situ, remove and welded up properly. Fit nicely, and these mounts last (more or less) forever being genuine OEM manufacture.
The cooling system is a Golf rad with a core size of 320h x 525w x34mm deep. Cant fit anything bigger sensibly. A bit of simple bracketry, a TR7 thermostat housing and a Corsa header tank. The only "tricky" thing was T-ing into the bottom hose, I used a VW item, from a forklift, but there are other solutions. Hoses from my box of assorted tat...
