Back in July I went to Spamspeed for a Rolling Road session with my Track Sprint. Whilst I was there, Spam (yes, that's what he's called) showed me a recon Sprint block which he had spent £600 - £700 on for a customer, the customer never came back apparently so it's been sat in his garage for the last 5 years. Anyway, it's taken me all this time to decide to buy it off him.

It's +020" rebore & 10/10 on the crank. New Mahle pistons, big ends & mains. New timing chain, guides & tensioner. Reconditioned oil pump? (not too sure about that) Lightened & balanced. Plus he threw in a new B&B clutch.

Can any of you eagle-eyed peeps out there spot anything wrong? It's not very clear from these pics.

Got me stumped, the only thing that caught my eye was the 12 vane water pump.

I didn't think it would be that easy to spot with these pics. Clue: they're near the front of the engine!

Wrong timing chain cover? Rocker cover would have to be kind of 'inked' to fit that... Or are they like that anyway?

Blacksprint is correct! No, Rich is close, the timing chain guides are different but half the width they should be. Anyone want to buy them? I assume they are for those 8 valve things.
