A 1500HL. Not sure what you have to do to enter or spec of the car but it is goiing to be given away in the January 2007 issue.

They are also giving away a GT6 they have been restoring over the past few months. To win this there is a simple question to answer and the winner will be the first correct one pulled out.

Reading this yesterday, I was thinking perhaps it might be good advertising for the club to offer a year's free membership to the winner?

Excellent idea 8)

The new Regalia Officer could also send them a lovely keyring, windscreen sticker and a polo shirt

Well, what do we reckon then. It would be good publicity for the Club.

Shall we have a vote?

Snot that easy I'm afraid. There are only 196 forum users not all of whome are club members. Even if we did vote here it would not be a club decision. I'm not exactly sure what the process is but I believe it begins by someone writing to a comittee member asking that they table the idea on behalf of the members.

I think.

Either way I suggest we do it fast so that PC can get it into the article for next month. Could it come out of the advertising budget perhaps?

Probably Andy in the first instance. Although I'm unsure of the club constitution I should think he's able to make an executive decision.

I've just sent Andy a PM about this. I'll post a reply asap.

Well Andy seems game for it. I've given him the contact details for the PC Ed, Matt Wright. If anyone knows of any other contacts then let me know.

Hopefully we might hear something positive :)

While we are on the topic of Practical Classics and competitions....

If you register online at http://www.practicalclassics.co.uk you can enter all the competitions, every month, by simply clicking on "enter competition" on all the ones you want to enter. I entered about 6 in less than a minute...

Or, you could still do it the old fashioned way, cut up your magazine, spend 28p on a stamp, and actually have to answer the question (1968 for the GT6 if you feel like it)...

I know which method I will be doing from now on.

If you enter the competitions online you have to register your details, its not just a case of clicking on things.

You do not have to answer any questions (as per the mag) but you do receive a lot of "COMUNICATIONS" from EMap and the people who make the products who are involved in the competitions via your email.

Best to snip the coupon in the mag really.
