Re: TDCIR

What a way to lose my Dolly Club event virginity. I had a great day and concur with all the thanks given previously. There were some great cars that gave me inspiration to be there with mine next year.
Tight seal

I had the same problem with one from robsport. Think i used a two or three leg bearing puller somehow. Cant remember how exactly. Went in eventually. Very tight though.

Unleaded

I was wondering the same question about the head on my rebuilt sprint engine. I have no history on it and the PO did'nt know much either. But there is something which makes me think it might have been rebuilt to unleaded spec and that is it has been painted green on the front end. The head does look ...

Top fuel dragsters

I was at Santa Pod about 18/19 years ago and witnessed a TFD attempting to break the european record which at the time was sub 5 second. From the moment it took off it looked in trouble, veering to the side all the way up the strip, however the driver/pilot kept it going full chat until it hit the ...

Engine Bay Wiring Lead route

In the absence of any pictures to refer to, can anyone tell me where the live battery lead that goes to the starter moter is routed on a sprint. Is it along the front of the subframe or the back of the subframe and also are the wires from the main loom routed alongside it?
Rimmers quote same part number for 1850,1500 & 1300. Different for sprint. Looks like you could have a sale Adam!
Breaking sprint

All i can remember about the body work was that it is very rotten round the bottom half. It had been ziebarted as well. Not really sure what that means but it had little blanking plugs in the rear wheel arches inside the backdoors with 'ziebart' stamped on them. I went looking for very specific ...

Breaking Sprint

This is the same one that used the picture of 'MaddMarts' Brooklands Sprint on his previous advert. I went and had a look at this as it is my neck of the woods. It was a Carmine Red 74 sprint that had been in a barn for some time, part dismantled to restore, PO never got round to it (same old story ...
