Yes you'll get a stronger spark. Bottom right hand terminals is correct.

Assuming you now have a 12v coil. Leave the original +ve lead off (tape it up). Run a new lead from the the fuse box on the ignition side (the side that's only live when the ignition is on) to the +ve side of the coil.

Nothing has happened yet. The 2 Sprints are for sale complete for £50 each & the 1850 is a freebie. I haven't got anywhere to store them but they're ok where they are for the time being. I don't want to break these if there is a chance that someone can do something with the roofs & get them back on ...

No it's not 52mm. that the size of the gauges.

Skimming the head will effect the timing as the straight run on the timing chain will be reduced slightly. So I believe that retards the timing, as the camshaft would rotate anti-clockwise by a fraction.

I wouldn't bother getting the standard discs grooved or drilled. Drilling will only weaken them. If you want to mod them go for somethimg tried & tested. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :D --><img src=http://www ...
