I think all the round headlight Dolomite badged cars had the black headlight surround to compliment the new black grill.<br>
The 1500fwd and 1500tc had the sliver surround along with the silver painted slotted type grill.<br>
I've seen them swapped about and think they both look good<br>

I had the same problem with my 1500fwd. It was the ignition warning light that had blown, so not energising the circuit.<br>
Could also be worth checking/cleaning all the connections coming out of the alternator and others in the circuit, dosen't take much to drop the voltage. I changed the ...
