Have e-mailed Rimmers for a quote on the following parts:
No chance of me ever accepting a knock for knock. It is an open and shut case, I was stationary, he hit me from behind.
Thanks everyone for the messages of support and advice. I have found some adverts for Dolomite 1500HL cars, all priced around £750 to £1500; but if anyone else knows of cars advertised for higher, please pass them on!
Thanks Guys. Rest assured any money received will be put back into the car. It had been off the road for four years and as I missed it, I wanted to use it for the next two years before stripping the body down again, even though it is quite good at the mo.
re: write off!

Thanks for the advice Dave. Were you the third party? How much were they offering for a Toledo as a write off?

will price up the bits from Rimmers, including a new lamp. However I think labour is the killer here and may result in the old girl being written off.
GDV savaged!

Oh dear!! While sitting at a roundabout, my innocent Dolomite was taken up the rear by a Ford Transit, jolting us down the road. The impact felt quite significant, when it happened as it really gave us one heck of a jolt! Naturally the driver was Lithuanian and couldn’t speak any English so the ...

Hey Bruce!
Thanks, that does help but sadly I cannot afford specially made systems yet...was hoping for bolt on alternatives.
1500HL exhaust upgrade

After finally getting the old girl back on the road after four years of lying dormant (the car, not me) the rusty exhaust has started blowing after the first 1,000 miles.
Following groveling underneath, there is a split on the back box where the tailpipe joins the silencer.
