Re: Gary....
There's lots of good advice on here so I'll just say that GDV should be repaired as soon as possible. To write it off goes against the aims of the Club. I also have a bootlid available if that would help. Keeping the car on the road (despite water getting in your boot) surely should help your cause ...

Just to give you some background on this area meet:

It started off as the TSSC area meeting. Last November it became a joint Club Triumph/TSSC meet. As the Club Triumph area organiser for this meeting I thought it would be a great idea to bring the TDC on board as I'm also a TDC member ...

I didn't realize how close Deighton & Armyn were. I can always hold other one-off meetings such as at Richie's in-laws' pub for greater coverage.
Re: Dave...
Mark, I only offered to do North Yorkshire. I don't want to take on the exisiting Horsforth meeting. (which I will still be attending) As I might have said earlier on in this thread I'm already representing Club Triumph as an area organiser at the exisiting North Yorkshire meeting and bringing the ...

Re: Sure...
I will go ahead and put myself forward as the area rep for North Yorkshire so I will be contacting the club in due course. All being well the first meeting for the TDC will be on Wednesday 4th October at 8pm. It will still be taking place and I will be still wearing my Club Triumph hat whatever ...

New North Yorkshire area
I've been toying around with this idea for a while and now I've decided to air it.

Is there enough interest in having a meeting for North Yorkshire? This would be handy for those members that feel that Leeds or Tyne & Wear is too much of a trek. I don't want to tread on anybody else's toes ...

Re: my back end feels a bit "boaty"
I'm hoping to rebush Snowdrop's rear suspension when I rebuild the rear axle. I just need a replacement diff, a slide hammer and a hub puller. I might have to made do with an old wheel and my lump hammer instead.

Mart, it was good to put a face to the name at the TDCIR.

Re: Waterpumps: A word of warning...
I was helping somebody fit a Sprint engine in a TR7 on Saturday and we were gonna overhaul the water pump. The bolts came out and it wouldn't budge so we put the bolts back in and he's gonna chance it when he gets it running. The job will be a bit harder with the manifold and carbs back on! I'd read ...
