Re: Dolomite Intermitant Wipers?

I got one of the kits from Maplin, got it at the same time as I got my maplin leccy ignition kit, it was only about £10 and took less than half hour to solder together, took longer to desifer the instructions it came with. Works perfectly and yes it does allow you to alter how intermittant the wipe ...

Japanese,

All Jap engines seem like that, my Honda is pretty gutless below 3k but once it`s gone past that it pulls like a train and the accompanying sound track is awesome.<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :eek --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->

In my experience, AVO are about the best, having said that this was on VW`s, the quality of them is superb.

Re: sprint tubular manifold

Never seen that one before, hope his engine mounts are in good nick, thats very close to the suspension turret. The only other one I saw took up the space near the expansion bottle.

I used to be a Mazda Mechanic....

Making the assumption that it`s a manual, those symptoms sound familar to a fault with the clutch switch, done a couple of these. I can`t be sure about the noise though, as Julian says you could have an air leak. If a check of the hoses shows nothing up then you`ll need to pop it in to a mazda ...

Re: Absolutely not....

Princess is a nice car IMO but the boot is a problem being a saloon with not a huge opening, the Ambassador is a Hatchback and is essentially the same car, looks the same, same engines as the later princesses, get an auto though as the manual is crap. If you can find one they did a 2.2 6 cyl version ...

And people will mock but dare I say it, an Austin Maxi would suit the purpose. I remember when I was a kid our old neighbour had one, it was always reliable, had a 5 speed gearbox, the hatchback you desire and was really rather comfy, for £1500 you`ll get the best around I would have thought, not ...
