My race car has the group 1 stub axle set up & AP racing group 2 brakes . I did all this in 1988 when I built it The complete set up with remade stub axles cost me around £1,000. Nowadays I can do a 4 piston vented disc kit for a lot less than that. But not using original wheels. The size of the disc is restricted by 2 factors. 1 the original wheels & 2 the design of the front suspension which is such that the largest disc you can get inside the wheel is around 240mm, this is because the disc is pushed into the centre of the wheel by the suspension. This compares to 270mm discs I have fitted to other cars using 13" wheels.

Re: st vented disc kit
Yep. I've got 264mm vented discs under 13" Superlites. The biggest disc we could get under the standard wheel was 245mm I believe. I'm running the Hi-Spec 4 pot racing calipers which despite the shoddiest customer service in the world, work very well at a good price. I gave Hi-Spec the complete hubb assy and they made everything to suit.<br>
