Shame, I was wondering if it went into the evening so I could come and watch after work. Don't think my lunch break is long enough to be worth popping down. Take lots of pics (and video) won't you chaps.
I'll be taking some pics (when I'm not driving) & Smifter is bringing his camcorder for some in-car footage (hopefully).

Well as usual, a good time was had by all, and the weather was fantastic.

Many Thanks Mart for letting me loose in your car. Its certainly quick - if you can sort the rubber out you'll be hard to beat.

Highlights of the day in video are

Me nearly stuffing Marts car in the Wall but somehow collecting it!

And Here's a lap of the circuit Smifter styleee! (I was being a tad over cautious at this point - it didn't last long!)
Indeed it was - a very nice one too - can't remember his name now.

It did puff a bit but nothing serious.

4 sprints turned out in total - not a bad showing but we'll do better next year!
Me & Bob went out at the same time (after you'd gone Graeme) just for a comparison. Straightline speed there wasn't much in it, we reckoned Bob had perhaps 5-10 mph on me. He was revving to 7k I was only revving to 6k...ish.

I was really struggling for grip though & was having to fight the car all the way, on that last session. As I was changing the wheels before going home I found out why <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek">
Some great clips there. Glad you had the weather with you and you were so lucky not to sindrey the car into the wall!

Can't believe those tyres!

It's good to see that no-one pays any attention to the 'dont overtake in the braking zone or through a corner' on these days. I see the guy in the Mr2 turned out again. Not quite sure how he keeps swinging that one!
There was also an Impreza WRXSW ? going round. Not that quick really.

Some guy there with Mark's old Sprint-engined TR7. He had troubles all day & it wasn't very quick when he did get on track, so can only assume it was big trouble, as I know first hand how quick that car was last year.

In fairness to Mr MR2, I don't remember anytime being told no overtaking in the braking zone or at corners (unlike every other track day).

In the case of Gerard's I don't see a problem overtaking there anyway, its such a fast wide sweeping bend.

Those tyres have finally met their death - They've had one hell of a life though! They started life on a formula ford, were given to me gratis via a business contact, did a couple of unsuccessful sprint runs on my car and have travelled the country on marts track car.

For free you cant complain at that!!

G

p.s. yestersdays undercrackers are on the 'heavily soiled' wash today - I surprised myself saving that one!

That looks like fun! I would love to have a race car, but even if I can stretch to buying the car itself, I don't have the funds for a trailer, towing vehicle etc, so I've decided to build a track day car instead. Racing can come later.

BK, have you had your LSD and brakes fitted? How was the car with them?
Nice one David, beleive me it is fun. Me & Graeme were also looking into racing our Sprints but decided it was too costly for us.
