help!!

#1 Post by vern4130thetriumphdolomit » Tue Jun 15, 2004 8:36 pm

hi, i went today to look at a '72 triumph 1500 (before the dolomite) and was just after some advice. the car has only done 16K and possibly has a seized clutch. it has been stored for the last 2 years and before had 8 years of storage at another time earlier in its life. the current owner is asking £500 which seems reasonable as the bodywork is in mint condition with only some minor rust on one wheel arch. the engine starts and runs. i just want to know if it is going to start failing when i start doing a lot of driving (about 10K a year), i have often been told it is best to steer clear of old cars with a low mileage. any advice would be appreciated, many thanks.
