Towing with 1850?

Hello,was wondering if anyone could give me advice on towing with an 1850.We have just purchased a classic caravan and we are looking for a towcar of similar period.The van is a 1976 Safari 13foot 4 berth,sorry but dont have the weight as yet as the alloy ID tag is worn away.It feels slightly heavier than our ABI which comes in at 795kg , but the difference is only slight.We have looked at the Mk1 2000 and mk2500 and a rover P6 ( ducks to avoid spanners!) but I have owned two Dolomite,s previously but only in 1300 versions.so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated ..Regards Paul
