The insurance company would probably pay out to the third party...and then "take you to the f*****' cleaners my son" as good old John Cleese would say.<br>

A mate's former girlfried slipped off the brake coming down the hill to visit him and demolished a neighbour's brick built garage in the process. She had previously 'not bothered because she didn't understand it' to confirm her NCB to her new insurers; they had written to her stating she was not covered until it was received.
