I'm the proud new owner of...
...a 1976 1850HL auto. It's red - although it looks more orange to me - and a little tatty but basically sound (thanks for the advice Jon). It has had a recent recon engine and I'm its 3rd owner. Best of all it was very cheap with 12 months mot and a boot full of spares, a much cheaper option than sorting my 1500, which I really must decide what to do with now as that's pretty good other than the front o/s and space is getting tight. Project anyone? I'm off to have a read of my handbook, having just discovered adjustable seats and steering columb.. such class!!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Hope the more visible colour of red/orange makes it less prone to getting hit by another car!
Autos
So, I'll bet you drove straight past Dorch, land of the free 1300fwd, to get that 1850...? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p">

Odd your old 1300 didn't have reclining seats, as mine did - And as they're brown, if I don't make to Wales soon, they'll be going into my red TC (with brown interior) to replace the non recling ones fitted. And the auto TC, that's just under a year newer, has a blue interior, with recling seats. Neither TC has headrests though. Am I the only person who stays awake questioning this...? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":">

I think I like the adjustable column, but I can never get it where I want it *and* be able to tighten it up enough to stay there... Am I too pathetic, is the car worn, or is that standard...?

an adjustablr driver's seat.
I think that tasusi meant that the driver's seat goes up and down in the 1850 whilst it dosn't in the 1300 - well it wasn't designed too <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Nothing wrong with going up and down in the front of a dolly. Mind, that Brinylon can leave a nasty burn<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":">
