Need to work on the house, boring i know, so need the readys (cant find a crying smilie)!! 2" carbs, fast road cam, head and manifold reworked to suit and it goes like stink . Cant take all the cred tho, previous owner did it all, and a respray. Needs new carpets or a damn good clean and thats it, oh and the odd bits here and there but nothing major. If it doesnt make reserve, gonna keep it in the garage till finances allow.

okay I read the script but someone has to say it....
You certainly dont want overdrive on reverse...
You probably dont want it in first either and I cant see the point of it in second but some disagree.
Get that inhibitor working.
Yeah, have heard from you guys bout o/d in reverse, ouch, pick up that gearbox! Jonners, you and few others seem to be the 'man', how does one wire in the inhibitor? And thanks for all the advice men (and women)

And who is this 'sandy_beach' geeza?? Are you on here? Always bids on sprints and from Antrim, not that that has anything to do with the price of fish, but...........

My sprint is no longer for sale. 71 watchers, 6 bids, 720 squid, (your 'avin a larf) and no-one wants a looksee? Gonna hang on to it and enjoy it Next time, if there is one, club members get first dibs. Thought you guys would take my arm off for a sprint with 2" carbs and fast road cam and very, very sound body. Discuss.............

Was that at the end of the auction or was it due to run for longer? Mine was a similiar spec a few years ago when I bought it with a LSD for £850. Values have gone up but I'm just saying, sometimes there is a bargain to be had.
The auction was due to end on friday, could'nt be arsed to wait to be honest due to lack of response. Lsd you say, can we still get hold them for our cars, and if so, how does one tell its legit?

I think that you may have been pleasantly suprised if you had let it run. I sold a Daimler Double 6 a few months back and that had about 50 watchers. 20 minutes to go, it was at £1100, ended at £2250. 3 different bidders actively bidding in the last 20mins.

Still, enjoy it and get it in Practical Classics (if you have seen the other thread). LSD's are few and far between. Generally £300-£500 on the second-hand market. You can either take the back-plate off of the diff and it will be obvious if you have the extra gubbins in there. Failing that, jack the back end of the car up and rotate one of the wheels anti-clockwise, a lsd should allow the other wheel to move at the same time independentally.
