Sprint Press Pack

#1 Post by LenHughes EPX347L » Sat Nov 19, 2005 11:03 pm

Can one of the really sad senior anoraks tell me what were the negative numbers on the B&W photos dated 19June 1973 that were included in the original BL Sprint Press Pack?

There were 6 photos in the pack but a further 16 were available to order.

Simple eh?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Negative No.'s

#2 Post by Carl » Sun Nov 20, 2005 10:32 pm

Len, I have a couple of jpegs from some of these negatives. There are a couple of shots of the car numbered 229655 and 229653. There's a shot of the engine bay numbered 229652 and one of the interior but I can't make out the number on that one. Hope this helps.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for that, thats 3 confirmed. The interior one should be 229651. I'm just being a suspicious old git really, there are 21 photos dated 19th June 1973. I just wanted to verify that the 6 in the pack I got at the NEC were the right numbers. There's a bit in Triumph World about them in this issue as well.

Regards to you and the Boss.
Len

Well Len.. looks like the set is complete judging by the above. The only think missing from my pack are the original six photos, of which I have four as photocopies thanks to Midlands museum..curators of VA1.

I wonder if the photos you have are from my pack... grrrr. Take care mate and will see you next year with 124<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Hi Paul,

The pack I got from Pooks Books at the NEC looks complete; there is an additional item that was not part of the pack but it has all the travel and accommodation schedules for the launch event at Geneva plus a recall notice for the 1500's and 1850's.

If you like I can do hi-res scans of the photos and bang them on a CD for you, the resulting prints would be better than photocopies. Drop me an email with your details if you want them, address on my profile.

How far away is 124 from being ready?

Cheers,

Len
