If the wheels are in contact with the ground, it still needs the same things legally as if it was being driven.
I'd just risk it on the tax side of things. My tax is out of date on the TVR by 4 days as I haven't had the log book through yet. No log book, no chance of taxing it. Plus the reg has now been changed as the private plate has been transferred back to the old owner.
Taxing the TVR should not be a problem if you have the green slip from the logbook. You should have been given this by the previous owner so is no excuse for not taxing it.
All log books should be the new type by now, if your a dealer though I'm not sure how you would go about taxing the car as you would have been given the yellow part of the log book. So not sure how the new taxation rules effect this.
Info only mate not a bollocking, as I was caught out this way. Fortunatly the copper who stopped me explained the error of my ways without further action. <img src=

Under normal circumstances you are correct. However, when the car is on a cherished transfer plate. Its slightly different. The V5 shows E5 RJK along with the green slip. The owner had to retain these along with the MOT to get the local VRO to stamp them as being transferred to S575AGR. They have then sent these to DVLA for the V5 to be issued to me as S575AGR. I have the original MOT back but nothing else. Of course the Post office won't accept photo-copies.

My plan is to bore the copper so much with these details that I can drive off unnoticed as he falls into a coma.
