Re: Performance Calculator
I'm probably getting confused and was thinking dry weight. Kerb weight is the one that includes all the grease, oil and a half tank of petrol?

Oil is more like 0.9 kg/l (and petrol).
Re: Performance Calculator
I was looking for another book I have to find out the weight, but came across my Dolly Sprint Handbook.

Weights (kgs. approx.)
Dry - basic = 976
Dry - inc. options = 990
Kerb - basic = 1019
Kerb - inc. options = 1033
Gross vehicle weight = 1375

So ther you have it.

Scott,
rust should weigh more than iron since it has oxygen added to it. But since rust usually consists of holes, I'd guess it's about even.

Re: Performance Calculator
I think Daz has proved a point with the calculator, whilst it is reasonably accurate for 'normal' cars when you get to something extreme its way out of reality.

I don't think the calculators takes into account the law of diminishing returns in performance when you increase the power of an engine.

e.g. Uprate a Sprint engine to 180BHP and you'll probably shave 2-3 seconds off the 0-60 time. Up it to 280 and it wont be anywhere near 2 seconds quicker again.
Re: Performance Calculator
i have timed mine to a 100 and it was 6.4 sec
That was the only time i have run it at full chat felt like the body was going to snap ,
I will try it with nitrous when im feeling brave

Re: Performance Calculator
Bloody hell. That's just mental.

...
That is indeed, mental.

If you need someone who's got more metal than brains I'd be willing to pilot it for a nitrous run
Do you straight shift or use the clutch? Either way, 6+ seconds to 100 is bloody lunacy! I'm dead impressed!
