You only know half the story Neil !!
I probably know more than you think. unfortunately I had to let dave down at the last minute because of personal circumstances. hope you enjoy it if you are taking it on.
you will definitely need a garage now then.

I don't think that I am the area rep. It was a short lived affair which was cut short by the re-emergence of dayle Perry from a long slumber.

I may be something to do with the 1850 rep though?

I haven't yet heard from dayle but last I heard he was trying to get a lancs meet together again. try e-mailing him.
We may be at crossed purposes here. I heard of a free pageant blue dolly 1500 for Gratis in stockport. I thought it was the same guy. Evidently not my friend.

Hope you get fixed up soon though.
Just got back from having a look.
The temp gauge didn't work. There were holes in the footwell and A-pillar base.Oh and the front anti-roll bar had gone walkies.Plus the body work was generally scruffy.
Any thoughts/observations ?

Learn to weld young man.

whether you find a good or bad example you will need this valuable skill soon anyway.

Have you found a lock up yet?

Also keep an eye on all of the local papers and the loot etc. you will find that old gimmers tend to use the local evening papers.
A post pillars corroded; this is a standard non optional extra!

I may get shot down in flames here, but as I've sold many of them to 1500 owners here goes............the rear arb wasn't fitted to 1500's.

If you want a car with minimal structural rust but a pair of plastic Claire Rayners get yourself down to Devon!!

If you have a 1500, get the rear anti-roll-bar from an 1850 or Sprint and stick it on. It'll only take ten minutes to fit and you'll be very very pleased.
I walked. Just didn't get the "vibe" from the car.
I reckon mig-welding courses at my local college will be about £200, so I'll probably go for that.Don't know about the lock-up just yet.
BTW, how do you re-finish home welds ?
Is it a case of priming/rust proofing the area, and then saving for a re-spray ?

Didn't buy it.

I walked. Just didn't get the vibe.I reckon 200 squid (ish) will get me on a mig welding course at my local college.Don' know about the lock-up, still waiting for an application form (ditto Rimmers catalogue).
BTW, how do you refinish repair areas ?
Is it a case of priming the area (to protect it) and then saving for a re-spray ?
