I've driven the car myself and it certainly seemed fine. Needed a bit of bodywork more than mechanicals as I seem to remember.<br>

It isn't possible to have a sense of humour bypass and own as many dollies as he does. I'm thinking of asking him to find a particularly impossible item to locate for my car. <br>

There aren't many people who have found the holy grail, a girlfriend who not only tolerates an irrational interest in cars but then wants one for herself! Finding an original extended gear lever with a brass overdrive switch should pose no problems!<br>

Scott, I am not offended by the 'historic' comment. 1972 was a great year (must have been, I was born!) Like a fine wine/antique, I get better and more interesting with age, wiser too. As for everything else, there is always Barclaycard and a dodgy plastic surgeon down the Old Kent Road! <br>

I had to buy the Magenta Sprint, why? To quote Alun "because it was there". The interior was spotless, nice and comfy and the mirror was placed perfectly for applying lipstick (whilst driving at 95mph on the motorway, 'holding' a can of coke between my thighs and eating chocolate with the other hand)!<br>
