Ready? There will never be a time where it'll be finished. I'm young so I get bored easily, there'll always be work to be done on it

But I'm off college next week so I'll be chaging the head on it. I'll cut the valves and seats, put in a fast road cam shaft I got, then select the best pair of jets, needles, spindles etc etc to make a pair of killer carbs out of the 6 HS6s I got

Then once its back together with tuneable carbs and a leak proof exhaust it'll be tuned It deffinatly has potential... I've been taking it easy(ish) everywhere lately but on the way back from college just now I put my foot down in second up to about 5200rpm it weren't that bad

Then I'll get myself the Inca paint and paint it so the trim can go back on! Yay!!!

Then clean it then go for a duel up the dual

Sadly, Susie's fleet comprises later cars in its entirety, with the fixed rigid hadles.
Early cars is wot you want for this malarky, with the sprung leather style stirruppy looking things; perfect for the old stilettos I can tell you!!

You've just caused me to have a flash back to the delivery room in a hospital, watching one of my children being born. Those of you who have had similar experiences will know what I mean. Call me old fashioned Dave, but in my humble that ain't no place a man should be found unless he is a doctor, midwife or nurse!

Alun's right David (though I hate to admit it!); I hear that these days,if a woman obtains a turkey baster, the man doesn't even have to be present for the conception.

If, however, a child bearing a remarkable resemblance to you walks into your garage one day and addresses you as 'Dad', then you know you've been spending too much time working on your Dollys!
I dread to think how distressed Sheryl would have been if I wasn't in the room. Not necessarily for the final bit but the proceeding hours in labour. The staff tend to just disappear in those stages so I was left to make sure that any fluids (blood or otherwise) were cleaned up so that she wasn't lying in her own mess. She would have had very little dignity if I hadn't been around to do that. It made me feel that I did my bit even if it wasn't the really hard bit!
Scott, in the words of Robin Williams
Quote:
"Unless you are passing a bowling ball you are not sharing the birth experience"

I've heard some horror stories about women giving birth in hospitals. My sister who lives in Camberley had to have 2 epidurals as they didn't put the needle (?) in the right place the first time and they also dropped her off the trolley! Were it not for her husband's support I think she would have seriously been put off having another child.

With driving and fixing Dollys I guess you are pretty much used to mopping up spills by now.

Poor Sheryl; having a Ford Cortina parked up your wotsit (aka a smear test) is bad enough but my sister would most definitely agree that you lose your dignity when you're giving birth.

So if a speculum is a 'ford cortina' what is a turkey baster? A reliant robin???
