Knocking Noise

I'd check the exhaust isn't hitting anything before removing the propshaft..

Blinking heck Sprint V8! What are you running on your Busa to get that at the back wheel? Is it one of the holeshot turbo versions? I was running a Blackbird with the usual dynojet,Kand N filter and Race cans. When I was there, there was a guy who had the fastest rev and go scooter in Europe, an Italjet Dragster 180 which he had spent 12k on modifying! He was doing 14.1s! He had me up to about 70!! Shocking thing it was.
Those Holeshot Busa are around 220bhp rwhp,
Mine had a full Yoshimura Exhaust system (LOUD)
Air box mod and K/N filter and a Power commander (Fuel injection mapping box)
But is now back in standard guise (decatted and P/Com)and is now around 166,
These make Flywheel 175bhp standard,
Scooter's not my cup of TEA

Re: RWYB Santa pod :)..Tyre Pressure's

Tip's
Take a good tyre pressure gauge and foot pump,
You will find lowering the rear tyre pressure (I was running 7psi on the Bike) will give you a bit more grip from the start,
But remember to pump them back up before you leave

ahhh.............that would explain 175bhp at the back wheel.

v8, I don't know if they sprayed that glue down when you were there. When I went it was really slippy in the morning, couldn't get off the line without the back slewing out sideways and trying to spit me off. During lunch they sent the truck up and down the lanes spraying what was described commonly as glue. They wanted to improve traction for the 'top fuel' vehicles that were running. Things weren't quite so scary as the bike stuck to the floor alot better but didn't improve my times. By that time my nice touring BT020 tyre was sh4gged anyway.

Now have an Aprilia RSV Mille purely for the sound it makes. Although, owning an Italian bike has major downfalls. I';ve been waiting 4 weeks for parts from Italy to repair the sprag clutch.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /frown.gif ALT=":(">

I feel a TDC outing to Santa Pod RWYB in the offing for next year?? What do you reckon people. We could get ALG1K to demolish everyone with his beast if they laugh at us!!!
thumps

I had the centre bearing go or rather the rubber membrane around which allows the thing to wave about all over the place. Pop down to your local quickfit say you are getting a banging from underneath and when it up in the air have a poke at the rubber mountings everywhere.

standing start

#24 Post by C Mallock » Wed Mar 17, 2004 11:21 pm

Make sure that you take all the backlash out the drive train before the standing start just lift the clutch with the brakes on till the revs drop make sure the car does not move tho, its amazing the shock loads that go through the diff and box when gears are slammed from a standing start, Might come and join im in a 1500 tho might lack a bit of poke
