I'll try and get there as early as possible to greet everyone, hopefully around 9 ish, depending on the run. Shouldn't be too much traffic around at that time in the morning, but it'll still take me about an hour and a half (19 60s cars you know...)

Do you wanna meet up Neil? I'll be staying over in Halifax on Sat night. Maybe we could meet up somewhere on the way and drive across in convoy.
Let me know.

You should still be able to get in, I've seen modern cars displaying passes before, just stick it fairly prominently in your windscreen.

NDD success!

#26 Post by 1300mash » Sun Jun 18, 2006 9:35 pm

Many thanks to everyone who attended NDD today, a great success I thought, even if the weather did spoil itself a little!
Apologies that they kept us waiting to go in the arena for ages. At least we got a very good location for the stand and plenty of space.
It was good to meet those of you who I haven't met before and great to catch up with everyone else.
Bill Shankland's 1300 SE prototype was voted best in show, a much deserved win I think you'll agree.

Cheers
got in on the ticket, came a bit later due to the weather.felt a bit left out not having the car but the stand looked car, lots of cars and running sprints.
mine now fixed ......brand new leads not cut properly hence no spark to the plugs .runs ok now, must do as everyone in the garage has driven it i think
when is the next event ? newby hall ?
sorry if i didnt thank you personally for your help in getting in,did try and find you, saw toledo man and will be going to the next meeting hopefully.
it was worse following the classic cars home when i should have been in one myself.
